NUTRITIONal therapy
As a nutritional therapist, Mays will seek to identify and address the underlying cause of your health issue, using functional medecine tools & training and focusing on treating the whole person to support each client towards wellbeing – whether physical, mental or emotional. This is achieved by assessing any imbalances, intolerances, deficiencies or excesses that an individual may have and then working to address these needs by suggesting manageable strategies and solutions to establish health and wellness.
Mays works using the principles of Functional Medecine as the root of her practise alongside naturopathy which emphasises the healing powers of nature and the bodies intrinsic ability to heal and maintain itself holistically. She believes in the use of natural remedies such as herbs, supplements and foods rather than synthetic drugs and surgery in order to help a client heal.
Alongside her Distinction for her 3 year naturopathy diploma from the College of Naturopathic Medecine, Mays has also earned a Distinction for her Masters from University College London in Clinical & Public Health Nutrition and utilises her clinical knowledge alongside her holistic to best serve her clients. Through her studies Mays has learnt that good nutrition and lifestyle improvements can make the difference between surviving and really living life to your full potential. She is a huge advocate of eating and thinking your way to optimum health! What you eat really does make a huge difference to how you feel, act and look. Changing what you eat and when you eat can help improve the health issues individuals struggle with today and can positively impact on lives. Changing how you think can affect your health in the same way as what you eat. There is no distinction. Mind and body are interlinked. Mays works to educate, guide and empower her clients – to tap into their own innate healing ability. She emphasises the importance of using organic foods, whole food supplementation and wild crafted herbs for health and rejuvenation – and how this also benefits the health of the planet.
